Malaysia's SKS Power mandates
Bumiputra-Commerce Bank, Bank Islam Malaysia, Bank Muamalat, KAF
Discounts, Malayan Banking and United Overseas Bank have won the
mandate to arrange the M$7bn project financing for SKS Power Sdn
Bhd. The structure of the financing has not been finalised but
officials say the transaction will be split between a M$3 billion
loan and a M$4 billion Islamic bond issue. Proceeds will finance
the construction and development of a 2,100MW coal fired power
plant at Tanjung Bin, Johor, Malaysia.
Bonny Gas Transport pushes the boat out
Underwritten and now in general syndication, the senior syndication
phase on Nigeria LNGs $460 million Bonny Gas Transport LNG carrier
project has closed with six banks joining. Bank of Scotland,
Natexis Banques Populaires, Nordea Commerzbank, SEB and Bayerische
Landesbank all joined at tickets of $30 million a piece.Mandated
