?Stanley O'Neal has been named as president and chief operating
officer of Merrill Lynch & Co., a post left vacant since
Herbert Allison retired in 1999. O'Neal has been with the company
since 1986 and most recently held the position of president of the
US's private client group.
?Dawson Risk Management Services, the new risk consultancy arm of
Miller Insurance Group, will be headed up by Mike Bignall. Bignall
comes from Sedgwick, part of Marsh Group, where he has specialised
in energy insurance.
?Jack Su joins the Hong Kong office of Sherman & Sterling as
special attorney in the project development and finance practice.
The office is losing its chief, however, as Clark Randt Jr. assumes
the position of US ambassador to China.
?Standard & Poor's telecoms group has a new leader. Peter
Kernana replaces Duncan Warwick-Champion and reports to the head of
corporate ratings Chris Legge.
