?Roderick L. Fraser, formerly Managing Director and Head of Oil
& Gas for Latin America at JP Morgan Chase, has joined WestLB
as Managing Director responsible for Oil & Gas Americas. Fraser
will report directly to Manfred Knoll, Regional Head, Structured
Finance Americas. Fraser plans to focus on project related capital
raising and advisory activities, highly structured debt products
and M&A advisory and related acquisition finance.
?Ahead of its merger with The Sakura Bank on 1 April 2001,
Sumitomo Bank has moved its offices in Singapore to the Centennial
Tower.
?Paisner & Co. and Berwin Leighton have announced their
merger, effective from 1 May 2001 when they will be known as Berwin
Leighton Paisner. Neville Eisnenberg will be the firm's managing
partner and Harold Paisner a senior partner.
