Kosmos drops Jubilee sale, FPSO scrutinised

Kosmos Energy has abandoned a $4 billion sale of its 23.5% stake in Ghana's Jubilee oil field to ExxonMobil. The cancellation follows opposition to the sale from state-owned Ghana National Petroleum. Kosmos says that it will concentrate on further developing the field, which is set to start producing in the next quarter of 2010. The field, operated by Tullow Oil, is set to produce 120,000 barrels per day.
