Exelon Corporation is set to buy John Deere Renewables portfolio of US wind assets for $900 million in a deal that would be the largest of its kind in the country to date. Exelon plans to finance the transaction with additional debt at the level of its Exelon Generation subsidiary, which will own the assets. Exelon, a large utility with a substantial tax base, will be able to take advantage of the portfolios available production tax credits....
