James Stewart, the head of the UK government’s infrastructure procurement advisory body, Infra­structure UK, has said that he will step down in February 2011. During his time at Infra­structure UK, Stewart drew up plans for the £200 billion National Infrastructure Plan and the Infrastructure Cost Review. Stewart’s position will be advertised shortly. Doug Ewing has been named vice-president, projects, at Part­nerships British Columbia. Ewing has been an assistant vice-presi­dent at Partnerships BC since 2009, when he joined from the Vancouver Olympic and Para­lympic Organizing Committee, where he was project manager for the Whistler Olympic Park. Rick Byers has been ap­poin­ted to PPP Canada’s board of directors. Byers is currently ex­ec­utive vice-president at Borealis Infrastructure, but worked at BMO between 1991 and 2007.
