Global Project Finance volume reached a record $354.6 billion in 2010, up 22% on the $289.9 billion raised during 2009 and up 11% on the previous full year high in 2008 ($320.5 billion).
Asian project finance saw a 31% increase to reach $129.8 billion in 2010, the highest volume on record.
Middle East volume rose by 18% to $32.7 billion in 2010. Volume from Saudi Arabia reached $25.9 billion, the highest annual volume on record with two of the top ten projects globally coming from the country Jubail Export Refinery and Ras Az Zawr Aluminium Project.
Project finance loan volume reached $279.8 billion in 2010, up 27% compared with $220.7 billion in 2009, the highest level on record. Bond financing saw an 8% increase in volume to $13.5 billion in 2010 from $12.5 billion in 2009,...
