Banks ready to fund on Macquarie's Open Grid

E.ON has agreed to sell its Open Grid Europe gas distribution network to a Macquarie-led consortium for Eu3.2 billion ($4.1 billion). The consortium, which comprises Macquarie’s European Infrastructure Fund 4, Infinity Investments, British Columbia Investment Corporation and MEAG, beat three other consortiums, led by Allianz, Fluxys and GDF Suez.
At the bidding stage a syndicate of nine banks – Bank of Nova Scotia, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank, Credit Agricole, EDC, ING, RBC, Societe Generale and UniCredit...
