Sea-To-Sky syndicates

SG and RBS are currently syndicating the C$500 million ($410 million) financing for the Sea-To-Sky highway PPP project in British Columbia. The deal is understood to have a tenor of 23 years and is priced at 110bp over the CDOR. The project sponsor is Maquarie, which is managing the PPP process and providing all of the equity through its Macquarie Essential Assets Partnership.

Sea-To-Sky is a concession for a 125km road between Vancouver and the ski resort of Whistler. The sponsor, which as engaged Peter Kiewit to be the EPC contractor, will be paid largely on the basis of availability, although the project does feature a small shadow component. Additional subcontractors include JJM, Hatch Mott MacDonald, Miller Paving and Capilano Highway Services.
