UPC Wind has closed the financing for its 30MW wind farm project on Maui, Hawaii. UPC Wind owns 51% of the project company, Kaheawa Wind Power LLC, and Maui-based Makani Nui Associates owns 49%. The project, which uses 20 1.5MW GE turbines, should be online in the first quarter of 2006.
