Abertis is to take out a syndicated bridging loan to back its Eu1.07 billion purchase of 32% of French satellite operator Eutelsat from investment funds Texas Pacific Group, Spectrum Equity Investors, Cinven and Goldman Sachs. The deal will be Abertis' third syndicated loan this year.

Qatar Telecom (Q-Tel) has approached banks to lead a $2 billion syndicated loan to fund domestic and overseas expansion plans. Qatar National Bank is the financial adviser. Prospective MLAs are being asked for commitments of $400 million.
